Declaration

As civilization has developed to ensure greater comfort and convenience for ourselves, the world has become increasingly polluted, bringing about an ever accelerating rate of environmental destruction.
In the face of such conflict, Hiroshima Institute of Technology's earnest desire is to see a state of agreeable coexistence between nature and humanity be achieved and, towards this end, recognizes the importance of having humanity work together as one to protect the environment. Those who have studied at Hiroshima Institute of Technology shall apply human knowledge and wisdom to these challenges, considering earth on a cosmic scale and always maintaining as a starting point the protection of our natural ecosystem.

Basic Policy

  1. Seek harmony, symbiosis and coexistence between the earth's environment and humanity, and contribute to the building of a more sustainable society.
  2. Utilize all available opportunities to pursue environmental education in order to cultivate environmentally-conscious students who make the environment their first consideration, regardless of their field.
  3. Develop new technologies and cultivate new insights related to the environment.
  4. Build up and maintain an environmentally-focused campus which exists as an outstanding research space for environmental protection.
  5. Establish environmental protection and environmental mitigation targets and goals, and endeavor to see that they are met.
