Hiroshima Institute of Technology Industry-Academia Collaboration Charter
Industry-academia collaboration connects the university with industry, and thus, society, allowing the fruits of the university's research to be shared with society, as well as including the university in finding solutions to the challenges facing society. It is with this understanding that Hiroshima Institute of Technology actively encourages industry-academia collaboration. Hiroshima Institute of Technology also promotes industry-academia collaboration because of the direct connection with society it creates which represents an opportunity for the university to fulfill a part of its motto to "Always Walk Together with God and Serve Humanity," namely to "serve society" through the cultivation of new generations of engineers and technical experts. For the students who will bear the responsibility of tomorrow's technology, industry-academia collaboration is an opportunity for realizing the responsibility that engineers and technical experts have to society, as it is an opportunity to gain a direct understanding of technology at its essence and of society.
