Industry-academia collaboration connects the university with industry, and thus, society, allowing the fruits of the university's research to be shared with society, as well as including the university in finding solutions to the challenges facing society. It is with this understanding that Hiroshima Institute of Technology actively encourages industry-academia collaboration.
